Professional Biography

Joe McNamee is an industry expert in Respirometry testing in Ireland. He has more than 30 years’ experience working in the environmental area specialising in waste water treatment. He currently conducts testing for a wide range of Irish and Multinational clients.

Prior to establishing his own business Joe was a Senior Environmental Specialist in Respirometry testing with Enterprise Ireland. He was also responsible for:

• Pilot treatability studies
• Biological treatment plant problem solving
• Training

With his skills and expertise Joe can provide a full suite of wastewater testing to meet your businesses regulatory needs.

Joe honed his skills in the earlier part of his career working with Dublin City Council which he joined in 1976 as a laboratory technician in Leixlip waterworks. There he gained wide experience in all aspects of water and wastewater analysis and the operation and maintenance of process water treatment plants.

In 1979 he moved to a role as a senior environmental analyst with the Water Environment Department of the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards (now Enterprise Ireland) which he occupied for a number of years before being promoted to Manager of the Water and Effluent Laboratory in 1990.

Joe is highly qualified holding a number of awards from IT Sligo, specialists in environmental science:

• Diploma, Environmental Science
• Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Protection
• MSc, (Hons), Environmental Protection
